Anchor Bridles
Anchor bridles are snubbers with two lines attached to the boat instead of one. Bridles may be desirable over single-line snubbers as extra security for heavier boats or cruisers who occasionally encounter foul weather. We sell bridles in a variety of sizes and configurations.
Anchor Snubber Bridle
- Our best selling product, this is a 3-strand snubber with a 2nd line spliced
into it near the hard (thimbled) eye on the anchor rode end. Available with or without soft eyes for the bow cleats, this is a
good option for weekenders and fair-weather folks.
12 Strand Bridle - Our newest product, this innovative bridle is stronger, lighter, easy to handle, is non-torsional so it doesn't hockle, and it can be folded or stuffed into small spaces. Since it's 33% stronger than comparably sized 3-strand, a smaller diameter can be used. Aside from its clean esthetic, it eliminates many of the nagging issues with 3-strand.
Anchor Bridle - Essentially 2 independent line snubbers shackled to a common chain hook. These are ideal for cruisers, large vessels (> 30 gt) and those with a reasonably good chance of getting caught in a serious blow. 2 independent 3-strand lines provide redundancy and some additional strength.
Made-To-Order - We offer a customer-configured option for all bridle types outside of peak season. Line diameter and length, chafe, boat-end termination (whipped end, soft eyes, etc), shackle types and sizes, etc are all available options.
