Description
Durable, high-quality anchor bridle made for boaters likely to
experience a range of conditions. It is because of these varying
conditions that we now offer our bridles in
a range of leg lengths. Physics proves longer bridle legs are stronger
and more comfortable to crew when the wind pipes up, but some fair
weather folks simply don't need a 40' bridle for their protected
anchorages. Buy the length that's best for your boat and the conditions
you typically encounter. We still offer bridles in fixed lengths for
those that need a quick turnaround on shipping.
This bridle has two completely independent legs with shackles for strength and redundancy. It is hand-assembled and made of high quality marine-grade, UV stabilized 3-strand white nylon rope with stainless steel thimbles spliced into the eyes. The bridle ships with 2 3/8" stainless steel bow shackles, 2- 18" anti-chafing sleeves and hand-whipped rope ends. The product is available in various lengths and 3 trim colors. 12" soft eyes spliced into boat end are available with or without chafing added. You can optionally select a hook or buy it without one.
Notes:
- The are a limited number of chain hooks that will accept two shackles. Of the snubber chain hooks that can accept two shackles, we carry only the Victory style hook and the SeaDog Chain Gripper Plate. We offer this bridle with these hooks as a package. See the Anchor Bridles section of our site.
- This product is made-to-order
and, depending on the season, can take 2-3 days to make and ship. If
you need a quick turnaround, have a look at our pre-made bridles.
- On
trim colors, choosing black results in a better product as we use
Chafe-Master that's made specifically as an anti-chafe product. It is
durable and comes in an array of sizes which affords a better fit. For
red or blue, we use a high-quality polyester product but due to limited
size options, the fit is not always optimal.
Select the product size based on your anchor chain size, length, weight, and freeboard of your boat. Please see the "Snubber & Bridle Sizing" tab for details.
