Since we specialize in mooring products, we carry nylon line exclusively and we offer three types: 3-strand, 12-strand and double braid. The 12-strand product is Samson's PTS-12 and the double braid is Samson's Super Strong product line.
Chafe
We sell anti-chafe sleeves on most of our anchor snubbers and bridles, and offer them as an option on many other products. After many years of trying different products, we've settled on two chafe sleeve products which we sell by the foot, and the removeable Davis velcro sleeves. The tubular sleeve products we use are Chafe Pro and Chafe Master. The former uses a proprietary nylon that's woven into a thick and supple tubing but it's ridiculously expensive. It packs down after it rubs on a chock but it doesn't seem to effect the protection. Chafe Master is the opposite with it's stiff, dense weave that's resistant to abrasion. Both have excellent UV resistance. We sell these products in 1' increments with a 2' minimum. We lightly melt the edge with a torch to prevent unraveling during shipping.
