Description

The Sea-Dog Chain Gripper Plate is used to attach an anchor bridle to the anchor chain rode. The hook is investment cast with 316 stainless steel and fits chain sizes 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", and 1/2". This hook requires 2 independent lines and will NOT work with a snubber or Y-style bridle (bridle with 1 hard eye). Sea-Dog recommends using their 7/16" forged bow shackles (requires 2 and the part # is 147212) to connect the lines to the hook, but the hook will accept shackle pins up to and including 1/2".

This hook is not load rated. Although it works with 5/16" chain, the fit is not ideal.
